The Premier League has finally reached it’s concluding stages and the race for the top four has become tighter than ever.

We are lining up for an interesting tie and here’s a look at Liverpool’s possible starting XI for the match.

Loris Karius

The German goalkeeper remained under the shadow of Simon Mignolet during the first few weeks of the season. But the Belgian’s poor show gave Karius the perfect opportunity to shine and he grabbed it with both hands. Karius has stepped up with several excellent saves in crucial moments of games, contributing significantly to Liverpool’s excellent form. The 24-year-old has started each of the team’s past 18 matches, recording 10 clean sheets during that period.

Trent Alexender-Arnold: The young English full-back is one of Liverpool’s top performers this season and his performances in the quarter-finals against Manchester City received praise from the fans all over the world. But since Nathaniel Clyne and Joe Gomez, both returned back to action after their injury layoffs, he may face a strong competition for his place in the starting line-up.

Andy Robertson: The Scottish international proved to be one of the bargains of the season and played a massive role in Liverpool’s Champions League success this season. The former Hull-City defender is excellent going forward and unlike Alberto Moreno, he is defensively sound as well.

Dejan Lovren: After years of setbacks, Dejan Lovren finally started showing his worth to play for Liverpool. His performance against Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League got a lot of praise from the fans all over the world and they will want him to continue his rich vein of form.

Jordan Henderson: The skipper, Jordan Henderson has been Liverpool’s most improved player in the last few weeks and he shut down his critics with his performances and leadership skills. The Englishmen brings energy into Liverpool’s midfield and also improved the creative side of his game under Jurgen Klopp.

Sadio Mane: The Senegalese winger is in a great form of late and will be a regular threat to Chelsea’s back-line with his speed and ability to take-on defenders. Liverpool’s Player of the Year 2016-17, Sadio Mane already scored 19 goals in all competitions this season surpassing his tally of 13 goals last season.

Mohamed Salah: The Egyptian scored 31 PL goals so far this season, which is a joint-record tally for a 38-games PL season. Mohamed Salah won PFA Player of the Year award this season and is among the favorites to break Ronaldo-Messi Ballon d’Or domination this year.

He will be playing against his former side for the second time this season and will be looking forward to ending his former team’s dream of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Roberto Firmino: The Brazillian is the pivotal figure of Jurgen Klopp’s system at Liverpool and most of their game-play revolves around him. His work-rate and intelligent line-up play get the best out of his teammates which makes him the most important player in the club.
